How I treat my students
I think that the most essential point of teaching mathematics is to carry the charm and the clarity of the subject whilst valuing the study speed of an particular child. I rely on believing in every single learner, that each one holds the capability to learn and do the maths delivered to him or her. I feel that the purpose of teaching is to equip each student with abilities and logical argument to work and succeed in society. That is why I intend to deal with my students with respect and to be as encouraging as possible in the learning process whilst stimulating them to search for new ways of thinking and fresh ideas and principles. I will note every individual student's needs reasonably of what exactly is possible and what instruments are there in the classroom. I will look for to spend as much or more effort and time put into the school day as I await from my learners. I will admit that I have as much to uncover yearly like my learners, and I will be adaptable enough to take criticism and ready for new techniques of educating in an effort to extend to all learning styles.
My role in tutoring
I view my role at this level as a professional, far identically their real school teachers are, yet also as an additional source of back up and help. My purpose is that of a guide just because I don't teach a full day of classes as my master teacher does, so I may be a source the scholars may choose to get supplementary assistance or can count on when it comes to support. My purpose is also that of a learner, so I view myself as an extension of my students, I am learning with them what it means to be a good maths tutor.
No extra worksheets
In contrast to different tutoring organisations in Kennington, throughout the regular academic year, I actually represent the material which the scholar gains in his/her classroom. This means I tend not to demand that learners do beyond worksheets and homework which are not involved in the learner's maths program, still, rather, I teach the child in areas of his/her maths class that can be complicated such as clarity and depth of realisation, applying of concepts, and test-taking strategies. All that I do is referred straightly to helping the scholar to better understand the material from the mathematics program she/he is getting and in order to improve the grade in that subject.
